Jay Z Gets Embarrassed Watching an Old Video of Himself Rapping--Watch Now!

Before Jay Z was big pimpin' and spendin' cheese, he was a pretty darn cheesy rapper on the rise.

On Tuesday's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Hov took a trip down memory lane ahead of his Tidal X: 1020 concert at Brooklyn's Barclays Center thanks to Jimmy Kimmel, who dug up old footage from one of Jay Z's first ever rap performances. As you can see in the video above, it was some quality, classic material.

Jay, 45, remembered this being the "worst show ever," be he laughed along as the late-night host showed the vintage clip. In it, we see a much younger Jay with a buttoned-up polo shirt and kinda-'80s hairdo. His image back then wasn't quite the same as it is today, but his rap game was still pretty strong!

After watching the clip, Jay couldn't help but crack up at his younger self. "That was embarrassing," he said through laughter. "In the bit I say something about, 'Jay Z's embarrassed'--I was a prophet, because that was embarrassing!"

Which part? "The haircut," he began, "[and] the shirt--everything!"

Jimmy joked of Beyoncé's hubby's past wardrobe, "It looked like you were going to play a round of golf after that."

Watch Jay's old-school rap performance in the Jimmy Kimmel Live! pic above, and for more on the Tidal X: 1020 concert, check out the video below.

Tinashe Strips Down to Fishnets for Playboy--See the Sexy Pic!

Tinashe is totally showing off her tushie.
The 22-year-old "Player" singer stripped down to an off-the-shoulder crop top, ripped fishnet shorts, and a mane of wild waves as the "Becoming Attraction" of the November issue of Playboy.
Unlike some artists have done in the past, Tinashe opted to do a non-nude photo shoot. She modeled a zippered sports bra and color blocked undies, track shorts and a down-to-there hoodie, and even a pair of camouflage briefs.
While she definitely turned up the heart, Tinashe told the magazine she's not all about the body.
"Sexuality has always been part of who I am as an artist--emphasis on part," Tinashe said. "I'm an all-around entertainer, my own creative force, and I'm bringing something fresh to the table."
This isn't the first time the dark-haired beauty has graced the pages of a world-famous magazine. She got to share the camera frame with modeling superstar Kendall Jenner while wearing a sexy bustier-style black top by Chromat in the latest issue of Vogue.
Talk about learning from the pros!
The singer-songwriter and dancer, who has already released two singles off her upcoming second album Joyride, is the first celebrity to appear in the famously nude magazine since the publication's leaders announced it would no longer feature naked photographs on its pages starting in March 2016.
"Playboy will continue to publish sexy, seductive pictorials of the world's most beautiful women, including its iconic Playmates, all shot by some of today's most renowned photographers," the publication said in a statement in early October.
While the magazine hasn't officially hit newsstands yet--do not fret! We can already tell Playboy is keeping its word because these photos are hot, hot, hot!

Vice President Joe Biden Not Running for President of the United States

The 72-year-old current Vice President delivered a statement in the Rose Garden on Wednesday morning with his wife Jill Biden and President Barack Obama by his side and announced that he will not be running in the 2016 election, citing the death of his son Beau Biden, who passed away in May at age 46 after battling brain cancer.

"I've concluded [the window] has closed," he said. "I know from previous experience there is no time table for this process...Beau is our inspiration. Unfortunately, I believe we're out of time. The time necessary to mount a winning campaign, but while I will not be a candidate, I will not be silent."

Speculation has been running rampant that Barack Obama's right hand man would run, vying for the democratic nomination against the likes of Hillary Clinton, Martin O'Malley, Bernie Sanders and more.

But while the former Delaware senator, who has run for president twice before, will not entering the race, he made no secret of his feelings towards our nation's current state.

"I intend to speak out clearly and forcefully, to influence as much as I can where we stand as a party and where we need to go as a nation and this is what I believe: I believe that President Obama has led this nation from crisis to recovery and we're now on the cusp or resurgence," he said. "I'm proud to have played a part in that. This party, our nation, will be making a tragic mistake if we walk away or attempt to undo the Obama legacy."

In August, during a conference call with the Democratic National Committee, Biden opened up about his possible presidential bid and admitted he's still grieving the death of his son.

"We're dealing at home with...whether or not there is the emotional fuel at this time to run," Biden explained. "If I were to announce to run, I have to be able to commit to all of you that I would be able to give it my whole heart and my whole soul, and right now, both are pretty well banged up."

Currently, Hillary Clinton appears to be the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination. According to NBC News, she increased her lead over Senator Bernie Sanders following the first Democratic debate last week.

Beyoncé Waves Off Assistant Who Tries to Cover Up Her Cleavage

When you're flawless, you don't need the help of an assistant to make you appear seemingly more perfect.

While walking the red carpet at husband Jay Z's TIDAL X: 1020 Amplified by HTC concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn Tuesday, Beyoncé's assistant wouldn't stop touching her--literally. The assistant kept fixing the "Single Ladies" crooner's plunging dress, so much so that Queen Bey had to shirk her off.

In a video shared on Instagram, Beyoncé can be seen telling her helper to "stop it." She somehow manages to maintain her glowing smile while scolding her anonymous employee, which, of course, is yet another reason why she has earned her regal nickname.

If the assistant thought she was #blessed for being able to touch Beyoncé, she'd be right, but there's no denying the amount of cringing she was doing when this happened. As soon as she was rebuffed, the assistant whimpered off into the corner so that Beyoncé could continue to pose like the fierce woman that she is--without any wardrobe malfunctions, thanks to her now-sidelined friend.

Philipp Plein designed the "XO" singer's jaw-dropping gown, which she accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, Christian Louboutin heels and Georgine fur. Even though she turned heads on the red carpet, she swapped out her fashion-forward look for a pink leotard when it was time to take the stage. She did, however, keep her hair in the high ponytail she debuted when she arrived.

After Nicki Minaj performed some hits from her repertoire, including "Moment for Life" and "Truffle Butter," she launched into "Feeling Myself." A few bars in, Beyoncé and a dance troupe appeared onstage, which marked the first time that Minaj and Beyoncé had performed their hit single together.

Beyoncé then brought out another guest--her husband! The couple performed "Holy Grail" together and even revealed to the audience, "This is my favorite song to sing with my husband."

They ended their performance with a rare showing of PDA: a kiss.

Banas said the Police were investigating the crime to determine the motive for the shooting, adding that Li and his wife Gou jing, a cousul at the Chinese embassy, had been taken into custody.

Canada’s opposition wins historic elections

Justin Trudeau is set to become Canada’s new prime minister after his Liberal Party swept to power in general elections, ending nearly a decade of Conservative Party rule.
The Liberals seized a parliamentary majority, an unprecedented turn in political fortunes that smashed the record for the number of seats gained from one election to the next.
The Liberals had been a distant third place party in parliament before this election.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper conceded defeat, ending his government’s nine-year run in power and the 56-year-old’s brand of fiscal and cultural conservatism.
Trudeau, 43, the son of former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, pledged to run a $7.7bn annual budget deficit for three years to invest in infrastructure and help stimulate Canada’s anaemic economic growth.
This rattled financial markets ahead of the vote and the Canadian dollar weakened on news of his victory.
Trudeau has said he will repair Canada’s cool relations with the Obama administration, withdraw Canada from the combat mission against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group in favour of humanitarian aid and training, and tackle climate change.
Trudeau vaulted from third place to lead the polls in the final days of the campaign, overcoming Conservative attacks that he is too inexperienced to govern and to return to the prime minister’s residence in Ottawa where he grew up as a child.
“When the time for change strikes, it’s lethal,” former Conservative Prime Minister Brian Mulroney said in a television interview.
“I ran and was successful because I wasn’t Pierre Trudeau. Justin is successful because he isn’t Stephen Harper,” Mulroney added.
The Conservatives were projected to become the official opposition in parliament, with the left-leaning New Democratic Party in third.
Liberal supporters at the party’s campaign headquarters broke into cheers and whistles when television networks projected that Trudeau would be the next prime minister.

Spiritual world 2

I am not sure how many Christians understand these things. Three hundred years ago, almost everyone understood their world in this way. Many people in Africa still think this way, although they focus to much on the dark side of the spiritual. Now, under the relentless pressure of education and the enlightenment, interest in the spiritual dimension of life is labelled old fashioned and superstitious.

I also wonder how many Christians understand these things, but do not live them. How many live as if the spiritual realms are irrelevant?

Many Christians are looking inward to establish connecting with the Holy Spirit. This is good, but if we ignore what is happening in the spiritual realms that surround us, we will misunderstand much of what happens in the world. Most Christians need a vastly expanded worldview.

The previous picture correctly shows how the spiritual and physical realms overlap each other. However, in the remainder of the article, I will place the spiritual realms just above the physical realms so that the interactions between them can be illustrated, but we must always remember that these two worlds overlap and exist in parallel to each other.

Multi-dimensional

The spiritual realms are not limited to three dimensions like our physical world. The Bible does not tell us how many more, but the fact that it is more complex than our three-dimension world means that it is hard for our minds to understand. The spiritual aspect of life can be thought of as additional dimensions beyond the three core dimensions of length, height and breadth. The spiritual world is not another world in another place, but additional dimensions to the physical world we observe.

An even better way might be to think of the physical world as three additional dimensions tacked on to a multi-dimension spiritual world. The spiritual world is more real than the physical world, so this latter view is most likely correct, but it is very hard for us to handle, because our eyes are calibrated for a physical world. Our eyes are so attuned to seeing a three-dimensional world, that we find anything grander difficult to conceive.

Paul visited the spiritual realms in a vision. He was dramatically affected by what he saw, but he could not describe it (2 Cor 12:2-4). His problem was that human language is designed for describing a physical world, so it cannot cope with spiritual reality. He explained that,

Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, and no human mind has conceived (1 Cor 2:9).
We need spiritual insight to understand what is happening in the spiritual dimension. That is why Paul prayed that the "eyes our hearts may be enlightened' (Eph 1:18).

Seeing Changed

Prior to the fall, Adam and Eve could see into the spiritual world. They were able to walk with God in the cool of the evenings and speak directly to him. They were able to see the devil, when he came to tempt them. His activity in the spiritual dimensions, made him appear snakelike from a physical perspective.

This situation did not last longs. When Adam and Eve sinned, their sight was changed so that they could no longer see into the spiritual realms.

The Bible says their eyes were opened, and they realized they were naked (Gen 3:7). This statement is a huge irony. Their eyes were actually closed to the spiritual realms. When they could see the brilliant glory of the heavenly realms, their observation of the physical world was dimmed, and they did not notice they were naked. Once the light of heavenly glory was turned off, their view of the physical world was greatly intensified, so they realised for the first time that they were naked.

After his death and resurrection, Jesus gained a spiritual body, which enabled him to interact more freely with the spiritual world. After death, those who believe in Jesus will be given new spiritual bodies.

Spiritual world 1

Better World View1

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. This was not just earth and sky. "The heavens" is the biblical name for the spiritual world that exists in parallel to the physical world. God created a multi-dimensional universe. We can only see the three dimensions of physical space plus time, so we assume that is all that exists. The spiritual dimensions consist of many more dimensions of reality beyond what we can see.

We cannot see into the spiritual world due to the effects of sin, so we think that the physical world we see makes up most of the universe. This leads us to assume that the authority systems that we see on earth are important, but we miss the parallel authority systems that exist in the spiritual realms and frequently interact with the authority system on earth. To understand the full working of authority, we need a thorough understanding of the way that authority functions in the spiritual realms, and how it affects events on earth.

Growing up in the modern world, we are taught that the physical world is all that is important. If something cannot be scientifically observed, it is not real. We all imbibe this materialistic understanding of the world during our education and daily lives. We think that the physical world that we live in is all that exists.

The physical realms consist of the earth, the sea and the sky. It includes people and the things they have made. This realm of life can be partitioned into two parts. The people who live according to Gods will are part of the Kingdom of God. Those who reject God's will belong to "the world" (1 John 2:15-17). In reality, these two groups are mixed up together and interact with each other all the time. I have only portrayed them separately for the purpose of illustration.

Spiritual Realms

Christians need a new worldview, that that sees the spiritual realms operating over and alongside the physical realms. We need an awareness of authority in the spiritual realms, if we are to understand the functioning of authority here on earth.

Part of the problem is that we see God as "way up there" far away from our world. We think of heaven as a distant place that we go to where we die. This is short sighted.

Heaven is not a distant place where God lives. Nor is just a place that we go to when we die. The Bible refers to the "heavenlies" as a label for the spiritual realms that exist alongside the physical world. The spiritual realms are just as real as the physical world that we can see. These two realms overlap and interact with each other.

We live in a multi-dimensional universe in which the spiritual dimensions exist in parallel to our three-dimensional physical world. The spiritual realms operate in continuity with the physical/natural world that we observe. Most humans cannot see into the spiritual dimensions, so we can only observe the physical side of existence. However, events in our physical world are shaped by activities in the spiritual realm. When we look at the physical world in isolation, we miss much of what is happening in the universe.

God operates in the spiritual dimensions of reality, but he also created and sustains the physical world. After the creation, the Holy Spirit remained close to the earth.

The Spirit of God was hovering over the waters (Gen 1:2).
The Spirit was not in a distant place. The spiritual realms where he operates hover over the earth. The spiritual dimensions of reality are not way out at the edge of the universe, they exist in parallel to the physical world in which we live. These two realms of existence interact with each other in ways that we often cannot see, and fail to understand.

World can end AIDS by 2030 – UN

The UN has said the world can end the AIDS epidemic within 15 years, but senior officials said that would only be possible by breaking the pharmaceutical industries “tight grip” on government policies.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said reaching the goal would be difficult but achievable in a report released in Ethiopia on Tuesday.

“Ending the AIDS epidemic as a public health threat by 2030 is ambitious, but realistic, as the history of the past 15 years has shown,” Ban said in the report.

The UN Millennium Development Goal to halt and reverse the spread of the disease has been achieved, said UNAIDS, the global body’s agency focusing on the disease.

UNAIDS is driving efforts to end the epidemic by 2030 by enabling everyone to have access to prevention services, treatment and support.

“During the first decade of the epidemic, there was very little to offer someone dying from AIDS,” Michel Sidibe, executive director of UNAIDS, said in the report.

The key to change, he said, was breaking the pharmaceutical industry’s “tight grip” on government policies and drug prices.

Some 15 million people are receiving antiretroviral treatment for HIV/AIDS, a staggering increase from less than 700,000 in 2000.

At that time, patients had to take an average of eight pills per day, costing $10,000 a year. Today, medicines can be bought for $100 a year.

These medicines keep the virus from growing and multiplying helping people to live longer and reducing the chances that they will transmit HIV to others.

Legislation allowing developing countries to override patent rights was critical, allowing them to manufacture copies of the drugs and cut prices.

AIDS-related deaths have dropped more than 40 percent since 2004 to 1.2 million a year, the report said, adding new HIV infections have fallen by 35 percent since 2001 to 2 million a year in 2014.

Investment in HIV/AIDS surged to almost $22bn in 2015 from less than $5bn in 2001.

One of the biggest successes has been reducing new infections among children by 58 percent between 2000 and 2014, the agency said.

This has been achieved by ensuring women with HIV receive medicine to prevent them from passing on the infection when they give birth.

Last month, Cuba became the first country in the world to eliminate mother-to-child transmission of HIV.

Did Birdman Really Throw a Drink at Lil Wayne?.... No

The drama never seems to end between Lil Wayne and Birdman.

The latest to unfold between the rappers took place over the weekend in the VIP section of Miami's nightclub LIV, where partygoers accused Birdman of throwing a drink at Wayne.

Video footage shows Wayne on stage with several pals giving a remix performance of "Coco" when all of a sudden, a drink is tossed at them from the crowd.

There's no evidence the drink came from Birdman, however, witnesses claim that people from Birdman's camp began throwing water bottles on stage at the same time.

Meanwhile, Wayne looked up in the VIP balcony to see Birdman, his very public nemesis, smiling and waving at fellow clubgoers.

And it should be noted that this isn't the first time that these two hip-hop heavyweights have battled it out in public, although it may be the first physical altercation we've seen these men get into with one another.

Birdman and Wayne have been in the middle of a lengthy court battle over millions of dollars and the release of Tha Carter V.

Last December, Wayne went on a Twitter rant over his next album and gave fans some insight on what hurdles he's facing with the release of the highly anticipated music.

"To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won't and hasn't been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it. This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans and most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation," he began.

"I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain't that easy. I am a prisoner and so is my creativity. Again, I am truly sorry and I don't blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u."

20 Questions We Have About the New Fantastic Four Trailer

Over the weekend Comic-Con audiences were treated to the final Fantastic Four trailer, and today it was released to the public at large. It includes a whole lot of ominous music and hints at major destruction, but it also raises more questions than it answers.

The road to the big screen has been a rocky one for the reboot, but it should be mentioned that a lot of the gossip and whispers surrounding the flick and it's troubles have been just that: gossip and whispers. There were reports of drama with the director, reshoots and script reshaping, and some legitimate concern from diehard Marvel fans over whether Fantastic Four could live up to their very high standards.

All that being said, we're still keeping the faith in this movie. Partly because we like to look on the bright side, and partly because we have a lot of confidence in the young-but-talented cast. (And, sure, maybe a little crush on Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan to boot.) We're going to give it a fair shot, but we still have a few probing questions that are lingering from our many viewings of this morning's trailer. First, check out the newly-released footage for yourself and then it's on to the (friendly) interrogation.

1. Will Dr. Doom actually resemble the more traditional character, or is Fantastic Four really going through with the villain as an angry tech blogger?

2. Will Reed get an I-told-you-so moment with his a--hole elementary school teacher?

3. Is this going to be more than just a run of the mill origin story? We're kinda chock full on those right now (cough...Ant-Man...cough).

4. Why isn't The Thing wearing any pants?

5. Is there such a thing as a science experiment gone right in the Marvel universe?

6. What does the U.S. military really want out of Reed's experiments?

7. How many times will Michael B. Jordan take his shirt off?

8. Is this movie going to set up the rumored Fantastic Four/X-Men crossover?

9. How much time did they have to spend practicing the Superhero Pose in those suits?

10. Will Michael B. Jordan ever smile in the full film?

11. How bad will the CGI be?

12. Is Harvey Elder (a.k.a. the eventual Mole Man in the comics) going to be a bad guy?

13. Which character is going to be the angriest about his newfound mutations? (Our money's on The Thing; he doesn't even get pants after all).

14. Is this new (and decidedly more badass) trailer going to change the minds of all the Fantastic Four naysayers?

15. Is anyone going to miss watching in 3D?

16. What's the deal with Kate Mara's wig? Homegirl deserves better.

17. Why is everything in the alternate universe suddenly green, when it was orange in the original trailer?

18. How many one-liners should we expect? "He's not stronger than all of us!"

19. Who's going to be the best at the requisite a-- kicking?

20. Seriously, how much of a nugget is the kid who plays a young Miles Teller?

Obama holds security talks with Arab leaders

President Barack Obama has opened a summit in the US with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Arab allies, seeking to convince them of US commitment to their security despite deep concern among Arab leaders about US efforts to broker a nuclear deal with Iran.

Hosting the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for a rare summit on Thursday at the Camp David presidential retreat, Obama faced the challenge of allaying their fears of US disengagement at a time of Middle East upheaval while also pressing the Gulf states to work together in their own defence.

The GCC is comprised of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.

In a media briefing, Ben Rhodes, US deputy national security adviser for strategic communication, said the leaders discussed the threat to the GCC from Iran, as well as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group, besides ongoing regional conflicts in the region, including Syria, Yemen and Libya.

“The president and his team were able to provide an update on the status of the nuclear negotiations … and also Iran’s destabilising actions in the region, which touch upon the security of our GCC partners,” Rhodes said.

He said the US had set out a range of strategies to help the GCC countries deal with Iran.

“We’re looking at what we can do to expedite the provision of support and capacity-building to the GCC in relation to ballistic missiles, maritime security, special operations, counterterrorism and border security,” Rhodes said.

He said Obama had assured the GCC states that the nuclear agreement reached in Lausanne, Swizerland, was limited to Iran’s nuclear programme only and not other issues.

Gulf Arab frustration

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud pulled out early, sending Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in his place.

The decision was widely interpreted as a snub that reflected the GCC’s frustration with the Obama administration.

The White House has said such decisions were not intended as slights and has portrayed the summit as more than just a symbolic event.

But US officials have also played down the prospects for any major breakthroughs.

White House officials have said there would no formal defence treaty, as some GCC leaders sought, and that the summit is likely to produce more modest announcements on integrating ballistic-missile defence systems, easing weapons deliveries and increasing joint military exercises.

In an interview to Al Jazeera’s Patty Culhane on Wednesday, Rhodes said the US was committed to the defence of the GCC countries but a formal treaty would not happen in the near future.

“A treaty is not what we’re looking for. It took decades to build NATO and the Asian allies but we can provide clear assurances that we will come to their defence,” he said, alluding to a prospective alliance with the GCC members.

Sunni Arab leaders are concerned that lifting Western sanctions as part of a nuclear deal with Shia Iran would empower Iran to act in further destabilising the region, especially in volatile countries such as Syria, Yemen and Iraq.

The Obama administration would like GCC support, or at least a toning-down of any criticism, for the deal to help convince a sceptical US Congress it has broad backing in the region.

Adding weight to Arab concerns, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy fired warning shots over a Singapore-flagged cargo vessel in international waters in the Gulf on Thursday.
The shots prompted the vessel to flee into the UAE’s territorial waters, according to US officials.
Rhodes said the incident highlighted “exactly” why Gulf Arab states were concerned about Iran’s behaviour.

37 People Who Think Canceling American Idol Is the Best Decision Anyone Has Ever Made in the History of Time

"What's wrong with American Idol, Mommy? Where are you taking him?"

"Well, Timmy. Sometimes, the things you love get old. And they aren't the way you remember them. They can't run and jump and play or deliver memorable winners anymore. Remember the days of Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Adam Lambert?"

"Boy, do I!"

"Of course you do, son! But those days are long gone now. Idol is sick, and he needs to go to a better place. The great big television studio in the sky, where he can run around with his old buddies like Joe Millionaire and Temptation Island. Don't be sad. It's better this way."

Yeah, we just likened Fox canceling American Idol to a mother telling her son that they have to put the family pet down but, it's kind of the same thing. Except with pets, everyone is really sad and it's a hard experience for everyone, and with Idol, no one is sad because it really should have happened a long time ago. In fact, people are mostly celebrating the end of the reality competition show. Us? We're just really concerned about Ryan Seacrest. How will he manage to pay his bills without his Idol hosting gig?! Oh, he's got nine other jobs. Right.

Anyway, like we said, Twitter is not in mourning. They are in the opposite of mourning. They are in un-mourning. Everyone is treating Idol's cancelation like it's the best decision anyone has ever made in the history of anything ever. Or at least the best thing since chocolate and peanut butter decided to get together:

And then there are those who thought that American Idol was canceled years ago, so the fact that the show was a trending topic was very confusing to them:

Psst...no one tell them that Big Brother and Deal or No Deal are both still on the air.

But let's get real for a moment here. We all know why American Idol got canned. It's because the other host from season one, Brian Dunkleman (remember him?) left the show after the first year. It took 15 years, but eventually his departure took its toll, and now Fox is paying the price. Brian himself knows what's up:

Damn you, DUNKLEMANNNN!

Let's hope the once great American Idol goes out with a bang and not with a combined sad trombone-fart noise.

The Originals Season 2 Finale Scoop: Is Klaus Past Redemption?

Klaus (Joseph Morgan) may have gone too far this time, and it's not something "always and forever" can fix.

Though it was revealed during the penultimate episode of The Originals season two that the Original hybrid wasn't actually working with Dahlia (Claudia Black) and giving her baby Hope, and it was actually all a ruse to find a way to defeat Dahlia once and for all, he ended up killing Elijah's (Daniel Gillies) girlfriend Gia (Nishi Munshi) right in front of Elijah's eyes. It was brutal. It was cruel. And it was totally avoidable.

"Klaus is going to make a very strong case that 'I had to do what I had to do to protect our family,'" executive producer Julie Plec tells E! News. "But Elijah's going to make a very strong case of, 'You didn't have to do it the way you did it.' I don't see those brothers coming to terms or any kind of agreement about Klaus' methods anytime soon. That's going to be one of Klaus' big problems, is he believes everything he did was justified but he has to admit that there was a bit of pettiness attached to it too. He was so betrayed that his family didn't stand by him when he asked them too, when he said, 'Trust me,' and they didn't believe his concerns about Freya [Riley Voelkel]."

She continues, "Now, it turns out he was wrong about Freya but he was also right about her because when all is said and done, Freya's singular goal was to free herself from Dahlia and she would have gone to great lengths to do so. Klaus is Klaus. Elijah is tormented by his codependency to his brother and we'll see how he chooses to handle this latest round of abuse at the hand of his brother. I'm rooting for him to hold strong and stay pissed for a while."

Series star Daniel Gillies agrees with Plec, adding that if he could choose, he'd make sure Elijah didn't forgive his brother for a very long time.

"One would hope not," Gillies tells E! News. "But if the past is any indication of the way they'll behave in the future, then all will probably be forgotten in a week. I appreciate you bringing that up, because people seem to forget about that great atrocity. Everyone seems to be focusing on what Eljiah will do now that Hayley's [Phoebe Tonkin] been turned into a wolf. But he did just watch his girlfriend go up in flames!"

Gillies reveals that Gia's murder is going to be the most important thing to Elijah right now.

"He's got more to be concerned about right now than Hayley, even though of course he's going to do whatever he can to remove the curse from Hayley," Gillies says. "That's a given. We know he's devoted to her and loves her. But I don't know how Klaus and Elijah are going to proceed and the terrifying thing is they have to work together in terms of defeating Dahlia. They have to get over, at least in the short term, the atrocities Klaus has committed in the name of winning the war."

But rest assured, Elijah will not be handling Gia's death well in the finale.

"For the next episode at least, there's a degree of fallout and certainly anguish and a desire to force Niklaus to reconcile himself with what he did in the name of what he needed to do," Gillies says. "They both have an enormous mountain to climb, and how will that affect them in season three? Who knows. In a perfect world, this would be etched in stone for Elijah for the better part of next season. This would be the unforgivable act of treachery and betrayal, if it were up to me."

In fact, the biggest point of contention is the fact that if Klaus were really committed to fooling Dahlia into thinking he was truly on her side, he would have killed Cami (Leah Pipes) as well as Gia, instead of faking Cami's death.

"That's just how Klaus functions!" Gillies says with a laugh. "You want to commit to the ruse, but if you're really committing, you have to kill Cami in this moment. And yet he doesn't. It really speaks to the fact that he does what he wants. But the only mildly redemptive part of the whole situation is that he didn't kill Cami."
